A Career in Nails
Upon completion of a nail technician course and passing the licensing exam, you can pretty much write your own career goals while choosing where you want to work. Some salons or spas hire nail technicians while others may rent booth space.
You can specialize in manicures only or pedicures or offer both services. If you are gentle and attentive to your clients, they may return and refer their friends, and you may start to receive a following. If you have a flare for nail art, the word may get out and those wanting the latest trends or something special could be knocking at your door.
And no matter what else your life entails, you have options and can be your own boss. Work full-time or part-time. Dream of someday opening your own salon? With additional training in business management and finances, you may be able to make that happen.
